Threaded Inserts

Threaded Inserts

There are many types of threaded inserts to choose from – the type you will need depends on whether you are fastening fiberglass, metal (metal tubing and sheet metal), plastic casings / housings or wood.

One of the main benefits of using threaded inserts is their utility – they eliminate machining-operations, and allow you to swap between standard to metric threads and back again. This allows screws to be used for assembly of many consumer products (including electronics), and come in aluminum/steel, steel, steel/zinc offering high-load bearing in different head styles, varying diameters, and grip ranges of .020 – 4.20.
